New website of Euobserver launched
This morning, one of Brussels leading EU news website, Euobserver.com, has launched its re-designed website. I have a quick first look:Good:
- Modern layout: nice rounded corners, larger pictures, good font-size
- Better positioning and highlighting of special sections and top stories
- Better structure: News, Opinion, Agenda, Adsbrief and Books (leading to the EUBookshop of Euobserver)
- "Further links" are now at the end of the article, and no longer in right hand column
- URls didn't change
Bad:
- Nothing major. Text size of article text is too small and in my view, the background colour is too dark.
Interesting:
- The policy navigation has been pushed to the bottom of the page
- Introduction of video news and announcement of blog features
Congratulation to the team of Euobserver. The new version of their website works well and looks good. Advertisers will enjoy the larger advertising banners on the site.
